Mississauga St. Michael's Majors News Release

Sudbury, Ont. (Friday, Jan. 12, 2007) - It didn't take long for Justin Donati to get back at the Majors. In his second game in a Sudbury Wolves uniform, the former Majors forward collected 2 goals and 1 assist to pace his new squad to a 6-2 win over St. Mike's. The Majors record now sits at 14-26-1-1 on the season.

Matt Caria of the Majors got the scoring started early, only 1:42 into the game off of a Kriss Grundmanis feed. However, Sudbury's Adam McQuaid tied up the affair, on the power-play, at 17:13 with the support coming from Marc Staal and Devin DiDiomete. Then, the home squad added five more goals over the next thirty minutes to put it out of reach. The goalscorers were Donati (2), McQuaid, Zach McCullough and Patrik Lusnak while the assists were credited to Donati, Lusnak, McCullough, Staal, Nick Foligno (4), Jonathan D'Aversa and goaltender Michael Swick.

Matt McCready connected for the Majors, on the power-play, with 2:14 remaining in regulation, off of a Jesse Messier (first point with the Majors) pass. However, it was too little, too late for St. Mike's.

Swick finished the night with 22 saves for the Wolves while Wayne Savage supplied 31 stops for the Majors. Toronto was 1 for 8 on the power-play while Sudbury was 4 for 9. The game's three stars were Donati (1st), Foligno (2nd) and McQuaid (3rd).

The Majors finish the weekend by visiting the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m. Then, they return home to host the Mississauga IceDogs on Thursday night (January 18) at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Majors at 416-651-8228, by calling Ticketmaster at 416-872-5000, online at www.ticketmaster.ca or by stopping by the St. Michael's College School Arena box office within two hours of the puck drop.
