PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs extended their consecutive one-goal games streak to 13 and snapped an eight-game home winless streak with a 3-2 win over the Allen Americans Thursday night at Tim's Toyota Center in the final contest of a six games in seven days stretch that saw them collect nine of a possible 14 points.

Recently-acquired forward Kevin Jarman helped his new club to its first home win in nine tries with his first two goals in a Sundogs uniform. Arizona was 0-6-2 in eight contests at home dating back a 2-0 win over the Amarillo Gorillas on January 6 before Thursday's win.

Linus Fagemo grabbed an early 1-0 lead for Arizona with his 19th of the year and eighth tally in the last 10 games 1:28 into the contest, picking the puck off the stick of Chris Whitley as the netminder played the puck outside of his crease.

Fagemo circled behind the net and tucked the puck near post as Whitley slid across in an attempt to get back in position.

Konrad Reeder nearly made it 2-0 in favor of the Sundogs with a breakaway chance at the 4:56 mark but Whitley got a piece of the wrist shot sending the puck into the protective netting above the glass.

Defenseman Mike Nesdill helped keep Allen off the scoreboard midway through the opening frame, sweeping the puck from the goal line after a scramble in front of Doug Groenestege as the Americans worked their first power-play chance of the game.

Stretching Arizona's lead to 2-0 with just 12 seconds to play in the first, Jarman picked up his first of two tallies on the night banging home a Kyle Hood rebound from below the near circle.

Nathan O'Nabigon cut the Sundogs' lead in half 1:34 into the middle frame sliding a loose puck five-hole through Groenestege from the slot. Christian Gaudet and Tyler Wooddisse assisted on O'Nabigon's 11th of the season.

Jarman's second of game five minutes later from Torren Delforte and Joey Sides reclaimed a two-goal cushion for Arizona.

Skating down the near boards, Jarman lifted a shot over the left shoulder of Whitley at the 6:35 mark.

Matt Hanson had a chance to stretch the Sundogs' lead to two a minute earlier on an uncontested breakaway chance as he exited the penalty box but the defenseman lifted a backhand effort wide.

Colton Yellow Horn pulled the expansion Americans back to within one with a power-play goal at 6:37 of the third, snapping a shot high glove side from the slot as the puck squeezed from a battle along the boards in the far corner.

Veteran forward Chad Hinz made his first appearance since suffering a fractured vertebrae in a game against the Rapid City Rush on February 6, receiving a warm welcome from players and fans alike during a break in the third period.

Groenestege finished with 33 saves on 35 shots to earn his sixth win in his last 10 appearances while Whitley turned aside 13 of 16 shots in the loss.

The Sundogs were held without a power-play goal for the second straight night (0-for-5) while Allen converted once on seven man-advantage opportunities.

Arizona (19-27-6) jumps ahead of Amarillo for seventh place in the Southern Conference and sits just five points back of the Corpus Christi IceRays and the South's fifth and final playoff spot.

Next up for the Sundogs is a mid-week matchup against the Rapid City Rush at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Arena in Rapid City, South Dakota on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 6:35pm (Arizona time).
