Dog days of summer makes encore at Smith-Wills

July 27, 2005 - Central Baseball League (Central League)
Jackson Senators News Release

Jackson, MS; July 27, 2005 - The Jackson Senators of the Central Baseball League (CBL) announced today that due to fan response to the "Bark at the Park" promotion held earlier this month, they have scheduled "Bark at the Park II" at Smith-Wills Stadium on Sunday, July 31st. Fans are invited to bring their canines to the game on that day when the Sens battle the Edinburg Roadrunners. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 pm with gates opening at 4:00 pm. All dogs must be on a leash.

Senators Vice President & General Manager Craig Brasfield said, "The first Bark at the Park was such a success that we decided to schedule "Bark at the Part II". When you see fans coming through the gates and sitting in the stands with their pets, some even dressed up in costumes, you realize just how much they mean to their owners. This gives the owners another way to spend some quality time with their pets, and most of all, gives the pet a way to get out of the house or yard."

Complimentary tickets to "Bark at the Park II" are available at Sprint Mart Convenience Store locations.

The Jackson Senators are part of the Central Baseball League, an independent league of eight professional baseball teams located throughout four southern states. The league is playing its twelfth season this summer with teams located in Edinburg, El Paso, Ft. Worth, Robstown, and San Angelo, Texas; Shreveport, Louisiana; Pensacola, Florida; and Jackson, Mississippi. The CBL will play a 94-game schedule between May and August 2005.
