OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - Humberto Arteaga homered and drove in 2 runs, but Oklahoma City defeated Omaha 5-2 on Wednesday night at Bricktown Ballpark.

Oklahoma City struck first in the bottom of the 2nd. Will Smith singled, and Travis Taijeron homered to left field, putting the Dodgers ahead 2-0.

Omaha cut the lead in half in the top of the 5th. Cam Gallagher singled, went to 2nd on a sacrifice bunt, and scored on a single by Humberto Arteaga.

Brock Stewart worked the first 5 innings for OKC, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. He struck out 1 and walked 1.

Humberto Arteaga tied the game in the top of the 7th against Joe Broussard (W, 5-4), clubbing his 6th home run of the year. But the Dodgers went right back in front in the last of the inning.

Andrew Toles was hit by a pitch, signalling the end of the night for Jake Kalish . After Jason Adam relieved Kalish, Travis Taijeron doubled runners to 2nd and 3rd, and Rocky Gale hit a hard smash that went under the glove of shortstop Nicky Lopez for an error, scoring both runners for a 4-2 Dodger lead.

Kalish (L, 6-6) was charged with 3 runs, 3 hits, and no walks. He struck out 5.

Kyle Garlick extended the scoreline to 5-2 with a solo home run in the bottom of the 8th.

Brian Schlitter (S, 17) recorded the final 3 outs for the Dodgers, earning the save.

The Storm Chasers (59-68) will conclude the series at Bricktown tomorrow night at 7:05. RHP Trevor Oaks (8-6, 2.81) will take the ball for Omaha, while Oklahoma City will counter with RHP Logan Bawcom (1-3, 6.38).
