Dobbins leads Lightning to victory over Gary

Rockford, IL- The last time the Rockford Lightning walked off the court at the Rockford MetroCentre, it was after they had lost to the Great Lakes Storm. Tonight, the result was different as six players scored in double digits as the Lightning beat the Gary Steelheads, 122-113.

The leading scorer for Rockford in the ball game was Muntrelle Dobbins, who shot 11-for-21 from the floor for a total of 23 points. Stais Boseman added yet another double double to his season statistics, scoring 22 points and dishing off 12 assists for the night. Another Bolt earned his first career double double as rookie Sidney Holmes scored 10 points and hauled down 12 rebounds in only his third career start. Keith Closs had six blocked shots in the contest, bringing his season total to 31. Former Bolt Paul McPherson led the scoring for the Steelheads, leading all scorers with 27 points. The Lightning have won four straight games over the Steelheads in the 2004-05 season, after losing their opening game at Gary back on November 20th.

In 48 hours, the Rockford Lightning return to the Rockford MetroCentre to host the Michigan Mayhem. All kids tickets will be half-price, and there will be a post game party at JD's Bar and Grill following Tuesday night's game.
