September 1, 2011 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm is excited to announce the signing of Chris Dixon for the 2012 season.
2012 will mark Dixon's second season with the Storm. The three-time league MVP joined the Storm in 2011 after a successful career with the Billings Outlaws where he won three national championships. His first season with the Storm proved to be no different. Dixon led the Sioux Falls Storm to its fifth national championship. The quarterback finished the season with 224 passes for 2,856 yards and 74 touchdowns. Dixon now holds the All Time Single Season Record for Passing Yards and Passing Touchdowns for the Storm. The standout season earned Dixon IFL MVP, IFL Offensive Player of the Year and First All-IFL honors.
"Chris is arguably the best player in all of indoor/arena football," said Storm Owner, Todd Tryon. "He's as good of leader off the field as he is on it. Having him committed to the 2012 season guarantees our Storm Nation another exciting year."
The Humboldt State University alum brought more to Storm than just football skills. Dixon along with the Sioux Falls Storm and Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital brought the T.K.O. Program to the Sioux Falls Community in 2011. The program reached over 4,000 Sioux Falls students in its inaugural year.
2012 season tickets are now available and may be purchased at www.siouxfallsstorm.com or by calling the Storm office at (605) 274-6686.
