Colorado Ice Brings in Size with Offensive Player Signings

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice are proud to announce the signings of six standout offensive players to the 2012 Pre-Season roster. The players are Carlos Singleton, Joseph Charles, Jerel Hall, Tobias Robinson, Jeremy Sanders, and Chad Schofield.

Singleton is a 6'8", 225 lb wide receiver from the University of Memphis, who was rated as the 57th best wide receiver prospect in the 2010 draft class. During his career at Memphis, Singleton played in 49 games, recording 164 receptions for 2,365 yards and 22 touchdowns. Singleton was twice named Honorable Mention C-USA; coming after his sophomore and junior seasons. Singleton is 2nd All-Time in receptions and receiving yards at Memphis, while his 22 touchdowns rank him 1st All-Time in Memphis football history. After his prolific career at Memphis, Singleton signed with the Cincinnati Bengals of the NFL and this past season spent time with the Jacksonville Sharks of the AFL.

Charles is a 6'6", 350 lb offensive lineman from Glenville State University. Charles' dominate blocking style and aggressive play, earned him First Team All-WVIAC for his senior season.

Hall is a 6'3, 225 lb wide receiver from Fort Valley State University. Hall primarily played tight end at FVSU, but with his athletic ability and size, was also able to stand up as a receiver and take advantage of his skill set that way. During his final 2 seasons at FVSU, Hall recorded 39 receptions for 457 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Robinson is a 5'11", 210 lb running back from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During his career at IUP, Robinson played in 32 games, recording 2,109 rushing yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, 171 receiving yards, 34 tackles, 1 interception for a touchdown, and 870 kick return yards. Robinson made the move from running back to defensive back for his senior season even after rewriting the record books in his previous two seasons.

Sanders is a 6'2", 212 lb quarterback/running back from Baylor University, who was rated as the 40th best strong safety prospect in the 2010 draft class. Sanders' versatility was shown throughout his 2 years at Baylor in which time he played, quarterback, running back, linebacker, and safety. Before Baylor, Sanders was a standout quarterback at Navarro JC where he passed for 2,252 yards and 11 touchdowns; while also rushing for 827 yards and 12 touchdowns. During his 2 years at Baylor, Sanders recorded 128 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 7 tackles, and 163 return yards.

Schofield is a 6'4", 302 lb offensive lineman from Marshall University, who was rated as the 36th best offensive center prospect in the 2011 draft class. During his time at Marshall, Schofield played in 34 games, starting in 30 of those contests. His consistency and dominance ended with him being named All-Conference USA Honorable Mention after his junior season and All-Conference USA Second Team after his senior season.
