Division Title on the Line Tonight vs. Storm

February 26, 2015 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) - Halifax Rainmen News Release

(Charlottetown, PE) - The Halifax Rainmen and the Island Storm will go head to head tonight inside the Eastlink Arena in Charlottetown at 7pm for the Atlantic Division title.

"This is what we have worked so hard for all season," said Rainmen Owner Andre Levingston. "To be in a position to win the Atlantic Division for our fans is a credit to everyone in our organization from our coaching staff and players, to our company personnel."

Despite maintaining a stronghold on first place in the Atlantic Division for the majority of the season, the Island Storm have lost their past four straight games heading into tonight. The Halifax Rainmen have been riding a wave of momentum, winning their last nine and putting themselves in position to capture the division tonight. Both teams go have identical records of 19-12. Tie breakers won't matter, the division title is on the line tonight in this 'winner takes all' encounter!

Tonight's winner will open the playoffs against the number four seed Moncton Miracles in the first round, while the loser will play the number three seed Saint John Mill Rats.

In either case the playoffs will begin Monday March 2nd at 7pm at Scotiabank Centre. Game 2 will be Tuesday March 3rd.

This promises to be an exciting playoff race so call (902)444-RAIN (7246) to reserve your seats today!
