Dirt Dawgs Lose in Extras, 8-7

TORRINGTON, CT - The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs lost in extra innings against the Torrington Titans 7-8.
The Titans started off the game strong scoring three runs in the first inning and 4 runs in the second inning. The Titans were still up 7-1 after the 3rd inning. The Dirt Dawgs were not far behind the Titans after scoring 2 runs in the 4th and 3 runs in the 5th innings with the score being 7-6 with the Dirt Dawgs only trailing by 1 run. In the 9th inning the Dirt Dawgs were able to tie it up 7-7 scoring one run. The Dirt Dawgs and the Titans both faught hard in extras but Titans player number 35 Jim Topps scored the final run of the game with a score of 8-7 to end the game with a Torrington Titan Victory.
