Wachusett Dirt Dawgs News Release
Martha's Vineyard - The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs were not able to contain their lead over the Martha Vineyard Sharks falling by two points to loose the game.
The first run was scored in the second inning where Josh Raymond tagged up on a sacrifice fly by Jennings to score. Then in the fourth inning John Jennings advanced to first base and Nate Pajka was able to score the second run for the Dirt Dawgs.
The Dirt Dawgs were able to contain the lead into the bottom of sixth inning where the fog began to roll in and visibility went from clear to almost impossible to see. There were two fly balls that the outfields couldn't see due to the fog and the Sharks were able to grab a two run lead on the Dirt Dawgs.
Nick Filloramo led the pitching for the Dirt Dawgs where he was charged with his first loss of the season. He lasted five innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs. The game was then called in the sixth inning due to fog and the Dirt Dawgs took another unlucky loss.
