Pittsfield Suns Special Needs Baseball Camp

Special Needs Financial Planner Steven E. Chick, CFP®, ChSNC®,in conjunction with the Pittsfield Suns, will sponsor a one-day Special Needs baseball camp on July 14th, 2013 (Rain date July 21st). The camp, which is a closed event due to targeted participant to staff ratios, will provide an opportunity for 30 children with Autism to enjoy a morning of developing and building skills in pitching, fielding, and hitting. They will then get to put their new skills into practice in a stress-free environment during a game in which everyone gets an at-bat and a chance to run the bases. The camp will be free to all participants and will be run by all the Pittsfield Suns players and coaches. Each participant will receive one on one instruction from a Pittsfield Suns player.
All children who participate in the camp, along with their siblings who attend to cheer them on, will receive a free open ended ticket to return to Wahconah Park for a future Pittsfield Suns game of their choice. The camp will conclude with lunch and an autograph session for all campers and their families.
Suns General Manager Kevin McGuire says "We are thrilled to be able to host such a great event in conjunction with Mr. Chick. This event, along with many others this summer, is just another example of our continued efforts to become one of the best community partners in the Berkshires."
As a Chartered Special Needs Consultant, Mr. Chick is experienced in assisting families with financial planning strategies that address social, medical and legal issues of a family member with special needs.
