Seattle Sea Dragons quarterback Ben DiNucci, San Antonio Brahmas defensive end Drew Beesley and D.C. Defenders wide receiver Josh Hammond were named the OurSports Central XFL Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for week nine of the XFL season.

DiNuicci earned the honor for the second time this season, completing 21 of 31 passes for 260 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and added 38 yards rushing for one touchdown in their 30-12 road victory over the St. Louis Battlehawks that kept their post season hopes alive.

DiNucci's 68 yard touchdown pass to Jahcour Pearson in the third quarter extended the Sea Dragons' lead to 20-9.

Honorable mention goes to San Antonio Brahmas quarterback Jack Coan who completed 25 of 31 passes for 302 yards and one touchdown in the Brahmas' 25-23 victory over the Orlando Guardians

Beesley continued to be a force on defense, recording 1.5 sacks, four total tackles, and one interception returned 20 yards for a touchdown in the Brahmas' win, keeping them in a position to make it to the playoffs with a victory next week and an Arlington Renegades loss.

Beesley played college football at Michigan State where he was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

Beesley returned a tip interception off quarterback Quinten Dormady for a crucial touchdown.

Honorable mention goes to Vegas Vipers defensive back Keylon Kennedy who intercepted two passes in the Vipers' 28-21 loss to the Houston Roughnecks.

Josh Hammond caught the game-winning, two-point conversion in overtime in the Defenders' 28-26 victory over the Arlington Renegades which clinched home field for D.C. in the North Division Championship.

Hammond played college football at Florida and participated in two games for the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2021 season.
