San Angelo Colts News Release
AMARILLO, Texas - The first five batters of the Amarillo Dillas' lineup each hit at least one home run and the Dillas (8-5) blasted seven homers total en route to blowing out the San Angelo Colts 13-1 Wednesday night in front of 2,813 fans at the Dilla Villa.
The Dillas failed to score in only three of their eight innings on offense as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead four batters into game off Colts starter Logan Williamson (1-1). After Jonathan Reynoso walked to lead off the frame, Keith Brachold hit the first home run of the night, a two-run shot to right field. Gary Schneidmiller then singled, and Danny Bravo followed with another two-run dinger, his first of two on the night.
Brachold tripled to lead off the third inning and was plated on an RBI single by Schneidmiller, the only run of the night for Amarillo that didn't score on a homer. After the single, Bravo hit his second two-run blast of the game, giving the Dillas a 7-0 advantage.
In the fourth, Reynoso hit his first of two long balls on the night, as he crushed a two-run homer to left-center, chasing Williamson from the game and making it 9-0. Williamson took the loss, lasting 3 1/3 innings, allowing nine runs on nine hits with no strikeouts and one walk.
Amarillo starter Micah Posey (2-0) threw seven scoreless innings for his second win of the year. He allowed just five hits and struck out six with two walks.
In the sixth, Reynoso hit another homer, a solo shot off reliever Matt Greanead, to make it 10-0. After a walk to Brachold, Schneidmiller blasted a two-run home run, his third of the year, giving the Dillas a 13-0 lead.
San Angelo scored an unearned run in the eighth off reliever Nathaniel Mateo, when Brachold dropped a fly ball in left field, allowing Bryan Frichter to score.
