June 2, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Tri-City Diesel News Release

Kearney, NE – The Tri-City Diesel will look to extend their winning streak to four this weekend when they travel to Sioux City to take on a new and improved Bandits team. The Diesel won the first meeting, 68-44 in Kearney, but since then the Bandits have revamped their coaching staff and picked up a few new players. Since that change the Bandits have a 3-1 record. "Sioux City is probably the most talented football team in the NIFL and they are going to end up being a playoff football team. With Coach Bryson taking over and the addition of Coach Reinhardt, Sioux City will be the best football team that we have faced thus far," said Diesel Head Coach, Robert Fuller.

The Diesel will also have some new faces on the roster with the signings of Matt Ditch and Dustin Morgan. Ditch is a 6'3" 215 pound wide receiver/defensive back from Cornell College in Iowa. Ditch was a two-time All-Iowa Conference selection at WR. Ditch did not play offense as a freshman, but still ended up with 134 career receptions for 2,152 yards and 24 touchdowns. He was a two-way player, also seeing extensive action at cornerback, punter and return specialist. This season Ditch rushed for a touchdown, passed for a touchdown and caught 58 passes for 880 yards and 11 more scores. In three games as a defensive starter, he intercepted three passes for 122 yards and returned two for touchdowns. Ditch averaged 21.4 yards on 15 kick returns, 7.6 yards on nine punt returns, and led the Rams with 84 points scored. Matt was a 3 sport 1st team All-Iowa Selection in football, basketball, and Track & Field. Matt had 6 receptions for 87 yards for Team USA in the Aztec Bowl.

Also joining the Diesel will be wide receiver, Dustin Morgan. Morgan is a 6 '4" 185 pounder out of Trinity Bible College in North Dakota and is a native of Broken Bow, Nebraska. Last year with the Diesel Morgan played in 11 games at wide receiver and caught 19 passes for 220 yards and 4 touchdowns. Before joining the Diesel last year Morgan played for the Bismarck Roughriders.
