LAFAYETTE, LA--The National Indoor Football League is pleased to announce the top players from Week 12 action, as follows:

Atlantic Conference

Doug Coleman, Quarterback - Houma Bayou Bucks

Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week

Bucks quarterback Doug Coleman played another impressive game as he helped Houma defeat the FireAnts 60-58 this past Saturday. Coleman completed 21-of-35 passes for 287 yards and six touchdowns. He also ran the ball four times for two yards and one touchdown...the game winner.

Sal Byron, Strong Safety - Staten Island Xtreme

Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week

Staten Island strong safety Sal Byron helped lead the Xtreme's defensive efforts in the 33-30 win over the Carolina Stingrays on Saturday. Byron was responsible for six total tackles, six passes defended, and two interceptions including one returned for the game winning touchdown in the final seconds to give Staten Island the win over Carolina.

Matt Jackson, Linebacker/Kick Returner - Evansville BlueCats

Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week

Evansville kick returner Matt Jackson was key on special teams for the BlueCats this past weekend. Jackson returned six kickoffs for a total of 127 yards. He also managed to run one of those kickoffs the length of the field back for a touchdown. Despite a tough effort, Lexington edged out the BlueCats 69-28.

Pacific Conference

Matt LaFleur, Quarterback - Billings Outlaws

Pacific Conference Offensive Player of the Week

Billings quarterback Matt LaFleur had a strong outing for the Outlaws as he helped lead his team to a close 57-50 victory over the Omaha Beef on Saturday. LaFleur completed 17-of-21 passes for 186 yards and six touchdowns, including the game winning touchdown in the final minute of the fourth quarter.

Joe Evenson, Linebacker - Sioux Falls Storm

Pacific Conference Defensive Player of the Week

Storm linebacker Joe Evenson helped lead the Sioux Falls defensive efforts in a big 62-37 victory over the Utah Warriors. Evanson recorded 10 total tackles, including two tackles for a loss, one pass defended and one sack as the Storm continues to roll over opponents in the Pacific.

Chase Long, Kicker - Omaha Beef

Pacific Conference Player of the Week

Beef kicker Chase Long had a solid kicking performance on Saturday as the Beef lost a close game against the Billings Outlaws, 57-50. Long netted 12 total points for the Beef, as he completed a perfect 6-of-6 extra point attempts and also went 2-for-3 on field goals, including a 52 and 21 yarder.
