HERSHEY, Pa. - In the final outing of a five-game road trip, the Albany Devils lost, 3-2, in a shootout against the Hershey Bears Saturday at Giant Center. Keith Kinkaid tied a season-high with 37 saves, but Hershey won the shootout, 2-1.

By earning a point, the Devils are just one point outside the playoff picture with a 27-25-6-5 record (65 pts.). The Bears strengthen their postseason position with a 33-20-4-6 mark (76 pts.).

Matt Anderson and Brad Mills both scored for the Devils, who led 2-1 until Tomas Kundratek tied the score on a delayed penalty with just four minutes remaining in regulation.

In the shootout, Anderson beat Danny Sabourin, but Hershey's Cody Eakin and Boyd Kane both found the back of the net.

Kundratek had opened the scoring at 10:37 of the first period. Anderson answered at 9:10 of the second and Mills scored the team's fifth shorthanded goal of the season at 13:57.

Kinkaid's night included six saves in the first, 11 in the second, 16 in the third and four in overtime. At the other end, Sabourin turned away 29 shots.

These two teams turn right around and face each other Sunday at the Times Union Center at 4 p.m. The first 2,000 fans to arrive will receive an Adam Henrique bobblehead courtesy of Yankee Trails World Travel.
