
Destroyers make several roster moves

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Destroyers have signed wide receiver/defensive back Lance Taylor from the Practice Squad, activated fullback/linebacker Chris Browning and fullback/linebacker Brad Greetis off Injured Reserve and placed fullback/linebacker Leroy Thompson on Injured Reserve, team President David Paitson announced today. The team also waived wide receiver/defensive back Lincoln Dupree.
Taylor (5-9, 190, Alabama) originally signed with the Destroyers on Jan. 31 to the team's Practice Squad. Taylor, in his rookie Arena Football League season, spent the 2005 season with the Green Bay Blizzard of the arenafootball2 league. Taylor played in all 16 regular season games and was second on the team in receiving with 55 receptions for 734 yards and 13 touchdowns. He added 47 tackles (36UT-22AT) five pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. Taylor was a walk-on at Alabama, where he played in every game in 2001 and 2002.
Browning (6-2, 255, Western Michigan), in his third AFL season, has played in two games this season for the Destroyers and has recorded four tackles. Greetis (6-3, 280, Cal Lutheran) will make his Arena Football League debut Friday night. Greetis spent the past four seasons playing for the af2's San Diego Riptide, where he earned all-af2 honors in 2004.
The Destroyers return to action Friday when they host the Georgia Force. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Huntington Field at Nationwide Arena. It is DYNAMITE NIGHT presented by Pepsi. This movie-themed night includes a special appearance by Uncle Rico, the popular character from the comedy hit, Napoleon Dynamite. There is a Special Offer for this night. Tickets are also available at the Blue Jackets Zones located at Chiller Dublin, Chiller Easton and Chiller North. All tickets are subject to service charges and facility fees.
