
Destroyers make first camp moves of 2006 season

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Destroyers have placed offensive/defensive lineman Hardy Mitchell on the Injured Reserve list and waived quarterback Tim Hicks and defensive specialist Rick Sherrod, team President David Paitson announced today.
Mitchell (6-4, 290, Buffalo) suffered a knee injury during Monday's practice and will have an MRI later this week. A veteran of seven years in the Arena Football League, Mitchell has played for seven different teams, including: Houston, Milwaukee, Toronto, Buffalo, Georgia, Las Vegas, Grand Rapids. In his career, he has recorded 49 career tackles (35UT-28AT) to go along with 3.5 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, six sacks and five pass deflections.
