Team gets geared up for Training Camp
(Buffalo, NY) - Buffalo Destroyers Head Coach and General Manager Ray Bentley has announced he has trimmed the team's roster to 30 players as they get ready for Training Camp which begins Sunday, March 24 at 10 AM.
After the Destroyers three-day mini-camp, the team has waived:
Bobby Olive 6-0 175 OS Ohio State 3
Teddy McDuffie 5-11 200 DS Temple R
Josh McMillan 6-3 295 OL/DL Nebraska R
Darnell Small 5-11 235 FB/LB Nichols State R
Richard McCleskey 6-1 290 OL/DL Nebraska-Omaha R
Jeremy Johnson 6-4 275 OL/DL Western Michigan R
Greg Taylor 6-2 270 OL/DL Harding State R
Josh Roth 6-0 240 FB/LB Buffalo R
Olive, who has been part of the Destroyers since their first year, played three seasons racking up 1,849 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns. He played in only two games last season after going down with an injury.
The Destroyers also announced, K Steve McLaughlin and WR/DB Tommie Boyd were put on the refused to report list.
