Dallas Desperados News Release
After claiming a 60-56 victory over the New York Dragons in their season opener this past Sunday, the Dallas Desperados start gearing up for their first divisional battle this week as the Chicago Rush come to town on Sunday for a 2:00 p.m. game at Reunion Arena. NBC Sports will televise Sunday's contest to a regional audience.
The Desperados and Rush had two tough-fought battles last season, with Chicago claiming victory in both contests. In Week 13, Dallas visited Chicago and battled into overtime with the Rush before falling 58-52 on a 27-yard touchdown pass. Three weeks later, the Desperados again ventured to the Windy City for a quarterfinal playoff game against Chicago. Despite holding a 34-32 advantage at the end of the third quarter, Dallas was outscored 28-13 in the final frame to fall to the Rush 60-47, ending the Desperados inaugural season.
The Desperados begin preparations for the Rush on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Texas Stadium. They will continue their work Thursday (Feb. 6) and Friday (Feb. 7) at Reunion Arena.
Tickets for Sunday's game are still available by calling the Desperados ticket office at 972-785-4900, visiting area TicketMaster locations or by visiting the Desperados website at www.dallasdesperados.com.
