Dallas Desperados News Release
In the never ending process of tweaking a roster, the Dallas Desperados traded WR/DB Rico Clark to the Carolina Cobras for FB/LB Jeremy Beutler. Clark had seen action in one game for Dallas this spring, posting three tackles and a fumble recovery.
Beutler has been on the Cobras Reserve/Exempt list since Feb. 22, 2001 while playing in NFL Europe. He played 13 games with Carolina during the 2000 season, totaling 12 tackles, two sacks, a pass defensed and a fumble recovery while carrying the ball six times for 16 yards and a touchdown. Beutler, at 6-3, 270 pounds, also has the ability to play along the offensive and defensive lines. He will be placed on the Desperados Reserve/Exempt list until he is through playing in NFL Europe.
The Desperados also activated OL/DL Ronnie Washburn from their Reserve/Injured list.
