Desperados Close Regular Season at Home

Dallas Desperados News Release
The Dallas Desperados, who clinched their first playoff berth with their victory over Detroit two weeks ago at Harrah's Field at American Airlines Center, close their inaugural regular season this Saturday by hosting the Orlando Predators.
Saturday's game will play a major role in determining final playoff seedings. If Dallas defeats the Predators, the Desperados will enter the postseason as the fifth seed and will host a playoff game either July 27 or 28 at Reunion Arena. If Orlando knocks off the Desperados, Dallas will have to wait for the results of other AFL games before finding out when and where they will open the playoffs. A loss could potentially force the Desperados to make their first postseason appearance on the road. Orlando is in need of a victory Saturday to ensure a berth into postseason play.
To kick off the week, the Desperados will team with the Dallas Cowboys and The Salvation Army for a donations drive Tuesday to aid victims of the floods in Central Texas. Contributions will be accepted at Gate 1 at Texas Stadium from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with Desperados players and dancers on hand during the early drive time. Contributions can also be made between 11:00 a.m. â 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. â 7:00 p.m. Desperados players will again be on hand during the evening drive time. The first 200 people to donate $5 will receive a ticket to Saturday's game against the Orlando Predators.
The Desperados begin preparing for the Predators Tuesday morning at the American Airlines Center, where they will continue their preparations throughout the week.
