Desperados Add WR/DB/KR Bush

DALLAS, Texas - The Dallas Desperados added their 10th player of the offseason - their ninth free agent - to the roster on Tuesday, signing WR/DB Josh Bush, formerly of the Columbus Destroyers.

Offensively, Bush finished fourth on the team in receiving with 48 receptions for 461 receiving yards (9.6 avg.) and six touchdowns while also adding two rushing touchdowns during the 2007 season while with the Destroyers.

Bush also made 20.0 tackles on defense, and was the team's second-leading kick returner with 38 returns for 761 yards (19.4 avg.) and two touchdowns. His 10 total touchdowns were the fourth-most on the team.

For his career, Bush, a four-year AFL veteran who played his first three seasons with the Grand Rapids Rampage, has made 213 receptions for 2,460 yards (11.5 avg.) with 40 receiving touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball, and has tallied 125.5 total tackles and three interceptions on defense. As a kick returner, Bush has returned 98 kickoffs for 1,945 yards (19.8 avg.) and returned four kickoffs for touchdowns.

Bush concluded his collegiate career at Western Michigan University as one of the school's top 10 receivers in history, finishing third in receptions (150), fourth in receiving yards (1,899) and eighth in receiving touchdowns (12). He also finished as the school's all-time leading punt returner with 786 yards.

The Dallas Desperados open the 2008 season in a nationally televised game on ABC at the Georgia Force on March 1 at 12 p.m.
