Denver Outlaws vs. Florida Launch-Game Preview

July 15, 2015 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL)
Denver Outlaws News Release

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws (5-7) will take on the Florida Launch (4-8) at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Sunday at 1 p.m. MDT. Following the game, Disney's Big Hero 6 will be played on the ThunderVision screen for all ticketed fans.

Despite five point efforts from Jeremy Sieverts (3, 1, 1), Drew Snider (4, 1, 0) and John Grant Jr. (1, 4, 0) at New York, the Outlaws could not overcome the 5-0 start from the Lizards. Sieverts moved into a tie for first place in the league with his third two-point goal of the season, and Grant's four assists tied his career high for assists in a single game. Matt Bocklet picked up nine ground balls for the second straight game to become the first Outlaw to earn 400 ground balls.

Denver will be facing the streaking Launch. Florida is on a three game win streak, while the Outlaws have dropped three games in a row. Florida's formidable offense, which includes both the league's leading goal scorer Kieran McArdle and back-to-back Warrior Offensive Player of the Week Lyle Thompson, has led their recent success.

"Florida is playing as well as anybody right now," Head Coach B.J. O'Hara said. "Lyle Thompson is becoming the MLL player that we all thought he would be. He's had some terrific games of late, and then you add in Casey Powell and Kieran McArdle and Steven Brooks and Miles Thompson, you've got an awful lot of firepower you've got to contend with."

To see the Outlaws take on the Launch, tune in to ESPN3 at 1 p.m. MDT Sunday.
