Denver Outlaws To Host Heroes Night To Benefit Freedom Service Dogs

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws will host Heroes Night on Saturday, July 16, for the team's 7:05 p.m. MDT game vs. Rochester. Military appreciation tickets are available at a discounted price and proceeds from ticket sales benefit Freedom Service Dogs, an organization that rescues dogs from shelters and trains them to assist people with disabilities. Freedom Service Dogs partners with the Veterans Administration to place specialized service dogs with veterans to promote a new level of independence in their post-combat life.
"The Freedom Service Dogs organization is grateful to be a part of Heroes Night with the Denver Outlaws," Freedom Service Dogs Director of Development Perry Jowsey said. "These players and the entire organization are helping to shine an important spotlight on our work and the need to help assist the wounded warriors who volunteered to protect our freedoms. We look forward to sharing a great night with thousands of dedicated fans and supporters of our military and community."
The Outlaws will debut their camouflage uniforms, which will be auctioned off after the game. Proceeds from the auctioned uniforms will be donated to Freedom Service Dogs. In addition, the first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a 2011 Denver Outlaws team photo poster.
