Denver Outlaws Have Five-Game Winning Streak Snapped in 11-8 Loss to Dallas Rattlers

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws (6-2) lost 11-8 to the Dallas Rattlers (1-7) on Sunday afternoon at Broncos Stadium at Mile High. Despite having the team's five-game winning streak snapped, Denver remains atop the league standings heading into the All-Star break.

Rookie attackman Ryan Lee led the Outlaws with four points on one goal, one two-point goal and one assist. Attackman John Grant Jr. (1 goal, 2 assists) was the only other Outlaws player with multiple points.

Dallas jumped out to a 5-0 lead midway through the first quarter and led 7-5 at the half. The Outlaws tied the game at seven in the final minutes of the third quarter, but Dallas closed the game on a 4-1 scoring run to secure their first win of the season.

Attackmen Grant Jr. and Brendan Kavanagh, midfielders Zach Currier and Mikie Schlosser, defenseman Finn Sullivan, faceoff specialist Max Adler and goalie Dillon Ward will travel to Annapolis, Md., this week to represent the Outlaws in the 2019 MLL All-Star Game. The game will face off on Saturday at 5 p.m. MDT and will be televised live on ESPN2.

The Outlaws officially return to action on Saturday, Aug. 3, against the Boston Cannons (5-3) at Broncos Stadium at Mile High (4 p.m. MDT faceoff).
