Denver Outlaws News Release

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws will take on the Rochester Rattlers Sunday in a rematch of the 2014 MLL Championship. The Rattlers will host the Outlaws at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium in Brockport, N.Y., at 11 a.m. MDT.

Both teams are coming off their second wins of the season. For Rochester, it took overtime to defeat the Hounds in the season opener and the 0-4 Launch. The Rattlers have scored one fewer point this season than Denver, though Denver has played in one less game. The Outlaws are 6-5 against the Rattlers and 2-2 away.

Denver won their home opener last Sunday against Charlotte 15-12. Eric Law sparked a four-goal run by the Outlaws in the second quarter. Jeremy Sieverts, Drew Snider and Greg Melaugh joined Law in scoring hat tricks in the game. Denver is the first team to have four players score a hat trick in a single game this season.

The Outlaws' offense will be tested by goalkeeper John Galloway, who has a league-leading 68 saves for the Rattlers.

Anthony Kelly has been a force at the faceoff X. The Outlaws lead the league in faceoff percentage, winning more than 63 percent of all faceoffs attempted. Kelly is sure to get the best of the Rattlers, who are last in the league in faceoff percentage.

Once again, Denver's defense limited offensive production in their third game of the season. The Outlaws held the Hounds' attackmen to one combined goal. Jesse Schwartzman will be challenged by the Rattlers' attack, including Jordan Wolf, who is tied for second in the league with 17 points. Rochester is a threat from the two-point line, with both John Ranagan and Kyle Denhoff recording two-point goals this season.
