
Denver Outlaws at Chesapeake BayHawks Game Preview

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws (4-3) look to defeat the Chesapeake Bayhawks (3-4) for the second time in just three weeks, their first matchup resulting in a 17-10 victory over Chesapeake. The faceoff is set for 5 p.m. MDT at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md.
Denver had great success against Chesapeake in their first meeting this season at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The Outlaws' 17 goals, nine assists, 26 points, 35 shots on goal and 49 ground balls are all single-game team highs in 2015, and Anthony Kelly's 24 faceoff wins tie his career high set earlier this season. John Grant Jr.'s seven points and four assists are an individual single-game high for the season, earning him Coca-Cola Player of the Game honors.
The Outlaws followed up their biggest win of the season with the largest deficit, an 18-12 loss to Ohio. Michael Bocklet (3 goals) and Drew Snider (4 goals) recorded seven goals between the both of them and Jeremy Sieverts handed out three assists. Bocklet continues to lead the league in shooting percentage (60.9%), converting on more than 60 percent of his shots. The Outlaws also lead the league in this category, scoring goals on more than 32 percent of all shots they take.
Snider improved to 23 points this season and is tied for the sixth in the league. Sieverts is right behind him with 22 points, tied for eighth place in the league. Snider and Sieverts were each named to the roster for the MLL All-Star Game. Joining them will be faceoff specialist Kelly, goalie Jesse Schwartzman and attackman Eric Law.
Rookie Wes Berg suited up for the first time for the Outlaws against the Machine. In the same week that he scored five goals in the University of Denver's first men's lacrosse National Championship, Berg scored his first career goal in the fourth quarter, assisted by fellow former Pioneer Jeremy Noble.
Chesapeake is coming off of three straight losses, both teams will be eager to return to the win column. The Bayhawks are led by Matt Danowski, who has 19 points through just five games, and goalkeeper Tyler Fiorito, who leads the league with 121 saves.
