Denver Outlaws News Release

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws have acquired midfielder Cameron Flint and a sixth-round collegiate draft choice (43rd overall) from Boston in exchange for midfielder Will Mangan and a first-round pick (8th overall).

Flint, who was a three time All-American at the University of Denver, scored eight goals and assisted on nine others for a total of 17 point in seven games as a rookie last year for the Cannons. He earned Major League Lacrosse's Cascade Rookie of the Week Award after a four-goal, one-assist outing in Boston's 13-10 win in Week 9.

"As a rookie in the MLL last season, Cameron Flint showed that he can be one of the up-and-coming stars of the league," Outlaws General Manager Tony Seaman said. "We feel that he is a great fit for our organization. A key contributor to the success of DU's NCAA Playoff teams while he was in college, he is a natural for fit to continue his professional career with the Outlaws."

Flint was selected with the sixth overall pick in last year's MLL collegiate draft by Boston after a career in which he scored 103 goals with 35 assists at the University of Denver. He finished his career with the Pioneers ranked sixth in goals and 10th in total points. A four-time all-ECAC member, Flint earned a spot on the Tewaaraton watch list his senior season. Flint was the fourth overall selection by Minnesota in the 2013 National League Lacrosse draft.

Along with their eighth-overall choice in this year's draft, the Outlaws sent midfielder Will Mangan to Boston. The third-year player scored eight goals with three assists in his first season for Denver last year, duplicating his stat line from his rookie season with Long Island. In 18 career games, Mangan has totaled 16 goals, six assists with 20 ground balls.

Flint joins fellow University of Denver alums Dillon Roy (2010) and Eric Law (2013) on the Outlaws' roster. Flint and Roy played one season together at the University of Denver (2010), while Flint and Law spent three seasons as teammates with the Pioneers (2011-13).
