
Denver Cutthroats Take Four Wins on the Road

Moline - The Denver Cutthroats faced off with the Quad City Mallards on Wednesday, March 12 at the I Wireless Center in Moline, Illinois. A penalty shot sealed the Cutthroats 4-2 victory over the Mallards to give them six consecutive wins in the month of March, four of which were claimed during the team's 10-day road series.
A.J. Gale (Steve Kaunisto, Garett Bembridge) gave the Denver Cutthroats an early 1-0 lead in the first period with a shot to the back of the Quad City Mallards net.
Less than two minutes into the second period, Mallards Gergo Nagy (Matt Boyd, Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel ) tied the score at one. Kyle Fletcher (Lee Moffie) tipped the puck into the net to light up the red light for the Cutthroats second goal of the night.
Quad City's Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel (Jeff Lee, Mike Stinziani) tallied his second point of the game with a goal to tie the score at two. A goal by Vincent Arseneau (Jason Cohen) put the Denver Cutthroats back on top for the third time in the night. Troy Schwab scored his 22nd goal of the 2013-14 season on a penalty shot to seal Denver's 4-2 victory over Quad City. The Cutthroats were undefeated during their 10-day road series with four combined wins against the Beast and Mallards.
The Denver Cutthroats will return to the Denver Coliseum for the final regular season home series. The Cutthroats will host the Mallards for a two-game set on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15. The Allen Americans will join the Denver Cutthroats for the final game of the weekend on Sunday, March 16 at the Denver Coliseum.
