GLENDALE, AZ (March 11, 2014) - Rapid City Rush Head Coach Joe Ferras became just the fourth person to coach in 700 CHL games on Tuesday night in his team's 5-4 shootout loss in Missouri. Ferras joins Doug Sauter (918 games), Terry Ruskowski (760 games) and Scott Muscutt (729 games) in the 700-game club.

Ferras is in his sixth season with the Rush helping them to a 214-135-35 record (.603 win percentage) and guiding them to the 2010 Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Championship. This season, the Rush are sitting in second place in the CHL with a 36-20-2 record, four points behind the first place Missouri Mavericks.

Prior to joining the Rush, Ferras coached in the CHL with Amarillo and his combined coaching record is 375-267-57 and his 375 wins rank fifth on the CHL's all-time wins list.

The Brantford, Ontario native also serves as the Rush's General Manager and in his 11 seasons behind the bench in the CHL, has guided his team to the post-season nine times (includes this season as the Rush have already clinched their spot). In 2010, Ferras was voted the CHL Coach of the Year.
