
Dennick Earns Wahoos First Promotion of the Year

Blue Wahoos LHP Ryan Dennick has earned a promotion to Triple-A Louisville. Dennick is the first of the 2014 Blue Wahoos to earn the call to the Bats. The lefty made just one appearance for the Wahoos out of the bullpen. He worked just 0.1 inning striking out one on Friday against Tennessee. Dennick got to work quickly with the Bats. He pitched 1.1 innings in Wednesday's matinee in Columbus. He surrendered just one hit and one walk while striking out two.
The southpaw made 19 appearances with the Blue Wahoos last year before appearing in eight games with the Bats at the end of the season. He was a 22nd round pick of the Kansas City Royals in 2009 out of Tennessee Tech. He was acquired by Cincinnati in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft in 2012.
No corresponding move has been to replace him on the Wahoos roster.
