Delaware Blue Coats News Release

NEWARK, DE.-January 26, 2014- The Delaware 87ers (5-21) took on the Canton Charge (16-9) for the second time in as many nights. The Charge defeated the Sevens 98-85.

Tiny Gallon was outstanding in the paint, scoring ten points in the first three minutes of the first quarter. He ended the game dropping in 30 points, shooting 12 for 17 from the floor and pulling down nine rebounds. "Tiny made up for last night because he played smarter defensively, which allowed him to stay on the floor," said Seven's coach Rod Baker.

Matt Bouldin (12 points, seven assists) and Mfon Udofia (12 points, three assists) helped the Sevens fight back, but the team's efforts were not enough to overtake the Charge.

After trailing the entire game, Canton's Kevin Jones (24 points, ten rebounds) and Sergey Karasev (16 points, seven rebounds) helped their team take the lead for the first time early in the fourth quarter.

The 87ers are back in action Monday, January 27, for a special day game at 11:30 a.m. when the 87ers face the Austin Toros at the Bob Carpenter Center.
