After short SPHL stint, rookie defenseman receives another shot in ECHL

MACON, GA- Macon Mayhem rookie defenseman Vinny Muto has been loaned to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL, bringing the team's active roster down to 18 players.

Muto, 24, has appeared in all five Mayhem games to this point, recording three points - all assists. All three of his points have come in the last two Mayhem games, as he has also been plus-four in the last two games. The Niagara Falls, NY native played 12 games for the Rapid City Rush in the ECHL last season after finishing his collegiate career at Niagara University. In his previous 12 ECHL games, Muto recorded 2 assists.

The Mayhem are at home for three games this week, starting with College Night on Thursday night against the Evansville Thunderbolts. The team is also at home Friday and Saturday, as they will host First Responders' Night and Food Drive Night.
