Greenville Triumph SC News Release
Greenville, SC - The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club has announced the re-signing of defender, Noah Franke pending league and federation approval. Franke, a 2021 Second Team All-League selection, was signed by the Triumph to be the club's starting right back before a pre-season injury against Clemson left him out for most of last season.
Franke managed to play eight matches, starting four and logging a total of 336 minutes, but further injuries forced the defender to miss the remainder of the 2022 season. Back in top form, former FC Tucson player will spend his fifth professional season in League One with the Triumph.
Franke spent 2021 at the former League One side, FC Tucson, recording 2,457 minutes in 28 matches. A steadfast defender, he had 31 successful tackles, 148 recoveries and ranked 11th in the league with 43 interceptions in 2021. The Florida native also posed a threat in the attacking third, registering four assists in 2021.
Prior to his stint in Arizona, Franke spent time with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Championship league from 2018-2019. He in started 13 out of the 25 matches, playing a total of 1,204 minutes. Franke was the 80th overall pick by FC Dallas in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.
Franke joins 10 returning players announced last Friday, including co-captain Aaron Walker and All-League defenders Evan Lee and Brandon Fricke. The Triumph is set to begin its 2023 regular season on March 25th, against the Richmond Kickers at Paladin Stadium in Greenville, SC. You can purchase 2023 season ticket deposits.
