Matching grants between $1,000-$5,000 are available for the renovation of outdoor athletic or recreational fields used primarily by youth, including but not limited to baseball/softball, football, field hockey, lacrosse and soccer fields. Eligible projects will include the upgrading of essential field components, such as new sod, infield, turf, fencing, dugouts/benches and irrigation systems; upgrades to the overall facility to include lights, bleachers, batting cages, scoreboards and concession stands.
Grant awards will be determined and announced on May 31. Completed applications should be directed to Trevor Gooby, Pittsburgh Pirates Senior Director of Florida Operations.
