
DB Brown Assigned to Rattlers

Phoenix, Ariz. - The five time world champion Arizona Rattlers have been assigned defensive back Arkeith Brown for the 2016 Arena Football League (AFL) season. This will be Brown's fifth season with the Arizona Rattlers, and in the AFL.
Brown has spent his entire AFL career with the Arizona Rattlers, earning second team All-Arena honors in both 2012 and 2013. Not only has Brown been productive on defense (pulling in 27 interceptions and 68 pass breakups in four seasons), but he has also been effective on special teams (80 returns for 1,233 yards and 4 touchdowns).
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Brown attended Texas A&M where in 2007 he posted 51 tackles in 13 games, 30 of which occurred in the last six games. Overall, Brown had 104 tackles, 21 pass breakups, and one interception.
The Houston, Texas native was a defensive back and return specialist at El Campo High School. Brown earned second-team all-state honors as a defensive back as a senior as well as honorable mention all-state honors as a return specialist as a junior. He was also a three-time all-district selection at wide receiver and defensive back.
