Roanoke Dazzle News Release

ROANOKE, Va. Dec. 21 – Isiah Victor's season high 23 points led the Dazzle to a 105-95 victory over the Huntsville Flight Tuesday night at the Roanoke Civic Center. The triple digit victory at home could be considered a streak for the Dazzle, as they've posted over 100 triumphant points during each home game

Five players scored in double figures for the Dazzle. Along with Victor, Terrence Shannon contributed another 18, Matt Carroll poured in 15, Korean shooting guru Sung-Yoon Bang had 13 while Cory Alexander notched an additional 10.

The Dazzle came out slow, trailing the Flight 22-21 after the first quarter. With 13 points in the second, Isiah Victor rallied to bring the Dazzle to a 32-17 advantage from which there was no turning back. Victor put up another 10 points for the Dazzle in the fourth to ground the Flight.

Coach Davison is confident in his team's abilities. "They're not reserves, they're players," said Davison, "we could start a variety of guys. When you put Isiah in, it creates a variety of mismatches."

The Flight registered six players in double figures. Joe Shipp led all scorers with 24, while Bernard King fought a good fight with 16. "We had too many turnovers, we allowed them too many easy buckets down the stretch," said Coach Ralph Lewis. "We got what we deserved."

The Dazzle (6-4) retain their perfect at-home season, scoring 100 plus points during each victory. Huntsville (6-5) now falls into the fourth place spot in the NBDL rankings, moving Roanoke into third.

Huntsville has a chance at redemption with a rematch against the Dazzle Thursday, December 23 at the Roanoke Civic Center. For information, log onto www.nbdl.com.
