Roanoke Dazzle News Release
ROANOKE, Va., November 19 The Dazzle had six players in double figures in tonight's NBDL opening match-up, bringing them to a 114-90 victory over the Fayetteville Patriots.
The Dazzle (1-0) was paced by Isiah Victor with 22 points. Roanoke scored first at 10:55 with a Sung-Yoon Bang jumper and never looked back.  Shooting 50-percent from the floor the Dazzle put up 94 clinching their win. Â
Aside from Victor's 22 the Dazzle also received double-double figures from James Thomas, 17 points and 18 rebounds and Cory Alexander pouring in 14 with 11 assists. "It's not always the size of the man, it's the size of the man's heart," said Davison of James Thomas. "He's got a huge heart."
The win spoiled former Dazzle assistant and now Fayetteville Head Coach Mike Brown's debut. After the game, Coach Brown found it difficult to find much good in Friday night's game. "We couldn't have played any worse," said Brown, "we got this one out of our system."
Fayetteville (0-1) was paced by David Young?s 21, followed by Omar Cook with 19.
The Dazzle embark on an extended road trip for the remainder of November, which will take them to Florida for the debut of the Florida Flame on Saturday. The Patriots will play their home opener Saturday night against Asheville.
