Dazzle Hosts "Free Holiday Game" to Benefit the Rescue Mission

Roanoke, Va., December 20 - For the second season in a row the Roanoke Dazzle, are hosting a "Free Holiday Game" to benefit the Roanoke Rescue Mission on Friday December 23rd at the Roanoke Civic Center. The Dazzle host the Florida Flame with tip-off at 7:00 p.m. Each fan who donates a non-perishable food item, a new toy or article of clothing will receive a FREE ticket into the Dazzle game.
The Rescue Mission is in much need of food for this holiday season, having seen the numbers of people to feed increase from last year.
"We are feeding between 900-1000 meals a day, not just to shelter residents but to low-income families as well," said Lee Clark, Director of Development for the Rescue Mission. "We have experienced an increase in the number of people we are feeding from last year and we appreciate the Roanoke Dazzle and their fans for once again stepping up and putting together this special event."
Last season, the Dazzle were able to collect over three pallets worth of food, clothing and toys thanks to the generosity of the fans. This season the Dazzle are looking to eclipse that amount.
"We're pleased to once again be able to help the Rescue Mission and those less fortunate here in the Roanoke Valley." Said Dazzle President Dennis Robarge. "We are confident, that with the help of the fans, we can surpass last year's level of giving and help even more of those in need."
To receive a free ticket to the Dazzle game, fans are asked to drop off their item at the "Will Call" booth located in the Box Office lobby at the Roanoke Civic Center, prior to the Dazzle game. The Dazzle will give one ticket per item donated and encourage fans to bring as many people as possible to donate as much food as possible.

How: Go to "Will Call" table across from the Civic Center Box Office and donate one canned food item, new unwrapped toy or article of clothing to receive one free ticket for admission into the game.
