Dazzle celebrate playoff berth with giveaway weekend

ROANOKE, Va. –With a pair of Fayetteville losses last weekend, the Roanoke Dazzle has officially clinched a playoff berth for the 2004-05 NBDL playoffs. Currently finding them second in the league, only a ½ game behind the Columbus Riverdragons, Roanoke hopes to hold onto at least second place to get a home-court advantage for the first round which starts April 16.

The Roanoke Dazzle is having a promotional blowout this upcoming weekend as they host two home games Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. On Saturday March 19, 2005, as the Dazzle play the Fayetteville Patriots in the first of a two-game series, Virginia's only professional basketball team will be giving out former Dazzle and current Los Angeles Clipper Mikki Moore bobbleheads to the first 1,000 fans in recognition of NBA Night. Game time is at 7 p.m. with gates opening at 6 o'clock, while sponsors for the game include Valleydale, WDRL, and Vibe 100.

On Sunday, March 20, the Dazzle will honor fans again with WROV T-shirt Giveaway Night to the first 1,000 fans. Game time then is at 4 p.m. with sponsors including JM Turner, Shenandoah Life, UTZ, Pebble Creek, Aaron Lange of Prudential Radford and Associates, Lisa Morris of Chase Home Finance, Stop-In Food Stores, and 96.3 WROV.
