Dayton Warbirds Announce New Head Coach

Dayton, Ohio-- The Dayton Warbirds, an expansion team in the United Indoor Football Association (UIF), has announced Matt King as their new Head Coach. Mr. King is a prominent figure in the sports community and owns his own business, Excel Sports Consultants, which specializes in finding college scholarships for high school athletes.
Matt is a 2000 graduate of Urbana University where he earned his Bachelors in Business Administration. He was a four-year starter at linebacker and defensive end and was named all league three times and All-American twice. Matt was named team captain his senior year.
Matt was the assistant varsity football coach at Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering from 2000-2002, specifically coaching the defensive ends. In 2002 King was promoted to Offensive Coordinator. During King's tenure, Alter had an overall record of 40-9 including two GCL North Championships.
In 2004 King went to the college ranks to become the Quarterback Coach and Passing Game Coordinator at Ohio Dominican University where he will remain a coaching.
"I am very excited to have Matt associated with the Warbirds," said Jeffrey A. Jodway, President of the team. "He brings an exciting, fast-paced style of football that I think the fans will really enjoy," added Jodway.
"I consider it an honor and a privilege to be associated with such a professional organization," said King. "Mr. Jodway and I share the same values and goals, and I am excited to be a part of the Warbirds family."
