
Dayton Gems Lose In Shoot-Out To Muskegon 2-1

The Dayton Gems and the Muskegon Lumberjacks met for the 2nd time this week at Hara Arena and the first period was a defensive battle with Dayton out shooting Muskegon 14:10 only the Lumberjacks putting a point up. During the half it was again all defense on both sides and with only 1:38 left Dayton's Chris Myhro with the help of Matt Auffrey and Greg Labenski brought the score back to even. With no score in the 3rd period or in overtime the game went to a shoot out. Dayton's Jon Ornelas, Greg Labenski and John Snowden weren't able to score. Muskegon sent Damian Surma to score the only goal during the shoot-out to give the decision to the Lumberjacks. The Gems record is now 11/11/3/1 making tonight the first shoot-out loss for the Gems.
Saturday, December 19th at 7:30pm the Flint Generals head to Hara for Christmas in the Rink. Santa will be our guest. Bring your camera and take your turn telling the jolly old elf your wish for his holiday. All adult seats are now $10 and all students $7 with free parking.
