Dayton Gems Help The Foodbank And The Community

Dayton Gems fans contributed over2 tons of food items to The Foodbank during the games held during Thanksgiving week. The players are loading all of the non perishable items into their vehicles and delivering them to The Foodbank to help the community tomorrow afternoon at 1:30pm. The staff and team are proud of their fans for bringing so much to help the less fortunate,

The Dayton Gems Hockey Team spent the Thanksgiving weekend helping the community joining in on the Feast for Giving by working at the Dayton Convention Center on Thanksgiving Day.

GEMS REACH OUT TO STUDENTS

Fundraising and helping the area schools is a huge priority for the Dayton Gems. Any school group can join with the team to enjoy an evening of exciting hockey action and earn money for their group as well. Groups will be recognized during the games and are encouraged to take advantage of this easy and fun way to help your organization.

The Gems will head out on a special road trip to visit your schooland host our outreach program. Our educational outreach program will have Gems players traveling to interact with students at their schools, speaking about their goals, training, ambitions and being part of a team. Area students are given the chance to meet and learn about hockey and even ask the players questions. A short film will be a part of the program bringing the experience of the hockey to your school.

UPCOMING GAMES

The team will be on the road this weekend traveling to Quad City on Friday and Muskegon on Saturday. Both games begin at 7pm. Listen live for free by going to the Gems website www.daytongems.com.

December 16th The Muskegon Lumberjacks make the trip to Hara. Wednesdays throughout the season will be Dollar Beer night and the puck will drop at 7pm. The 'jacks will stay and play the Gems again on Friday. Saturday the Gems will host the Flint Generals. Both weekend games will start at 7:30pm. All adult tickets are only $10 for any seat in the house and kids 12 and under are $7.
