
Syroczynski Returns To Fort Wayne; Expected To Be In Lineup Tonight

Fort Wayne, IN - The Komets announced Wednesday that left winger Matt Syroczynski has been released by the AHL's Norfolk Admirals and has returned to Fort Wayne. The Hamburg, New York native registered four goals and six points during an 18-game stint with Norfolk. Syroczynski skated four games with Fort Wayne and led the Komets with four goals and six points before getting the call from Norfolk Oct. 28.
Syroczynski, 26, is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Komets host the Port Huron Icehawks at 7:30. He will wear number 27.
The Komets and Icehawks, each with identical records of 12-6-0-1 and 25 points, will battle for second place tonight in the race to catch first-place Muskegon (14-4-0-2, 30 points) who is idle. Both teams meet again this week when the Komets next play Saturday at Port Huron at 7:30pm.
