Dayton Gems Announce 2010 - 2011 Ticket Information

The Dayton Gems Hockey team is nearing the end oftheir first season back at Hara Arena. Beginning Monday, March 8th season tickets for the 2010 - 2011 season will be available through the Gem's office and during all home games.

The season will consist of 35 home games plus preseason games. The seating will continue to be all one price for the entire arena. The full season pricing is: Adults $367.50, Child or Student $288.75, and Senior or Military $332.50. Season tickets purchased prior to June 15thwill receive special bonuses including a merchandise certificate.Benefits for season ticket holders will include: merchandise discounts, exchangeable tickets, a monthly pre-game chat with the coach and more.

Team coach, John Marks is looking forward to the team's second season. "We have established a core of players that include veterans and many rookies that we plan to build on for next season. This years' Gems are the youngest and fastest team in the IHL. Next season with a year of experience, we will be even better." Marks came to the Gems last season holding the record as the winningest coach in ECHL history.

Also available on Monday will be a 20 game ticket package that will enable the ticket holder to have flexibility to choose which games they'd like to attend. An adult package of 20 is $220, Child or Student $160, Senior or Military $200.

The management is expanding the ticket packages for next season to include a Friday and Saturday only package which will be available after the game dates are determined for the season. Gems management spokesman Rob Garfield believes in Dayton hockey: "The fans have been very supportive and we have listened to their input and suggestions. We know that the Miami Valley loves it's sports all year round. We are counting on the community to come out and enjoy the excitement of Dayton Gems hockey."

Groups will be welcome with discounts for even a small group of 11 or more. There will be fund raising opportunities and great promotions are in the works.

Next season's box office prices per game are:

Adults $12

Seniors (65 and older) - $11

Military (with ID) - $11

Children (ages 3 - 18 years) - $9

Students (with valid school ID) - $9.

There's still plenty of Gems action at Hara with 10 home games left and plenty of evenings to cheer on the team.

On March 6th at Hara Arena the Dayton Gems take on the Quad City Mallards at 730p. That evening the Gems welcome all area Youth Hockey Groups. Youth Hockey teams, friends and families will be invited to bring groups and enjoy an evening of professional hockey. Fund raising programs are available.

That evening is also National Heritage Academies Night - The Gems welcome students, teachers, staff and families of: The Emerson Academy of Dayton, The North Dayton School of Discovery and Pathway School of Discovery. The North Dayton School of Discovery Performance Chorus under the direction of Dr. Quintin Jordan will be performing the National Anthem.

Wednesday, March 10th at 7pm when the Gems meet the Flint Generals at Hara Arena it's another exciting evening of hockey and $1 beers. The Gems City Roller Girls will be in attendance to offer information about their season and introduce themselves to the Gems fans.

Upcoming events include: Teacher Appreciation Night, Dayton Chamber of Commerce Night, Scouts Night, Skate with the Team, Trading Card Nights, An evening with the King - Elvis Tribute Concert following the game, Singles Night - sponsored by Single Source News, Generation Dayton Night, Restaurant Employees Night, Jersey Auctions and a visit from the Gem City Roller Girls and Bud Girls. Don't forget all Wednesdays are Dollar Beer night and Frothy Fridays with $2 drafts.

Monday evenings join the GemsatFox and Hound in Beavercreekat 9pm as they become Dayton Iconjudges.
