Dayton Dutch Lions News Release

DAYTON, Ohio - The Dayton Dutch Lions FC (3-10-2, 11 points) is travelling to "neighbor" Pittsburgh Riverhounds (1-8-5) to play a crucial game for both teams on Saturday June 28. Both teams are in the bottom of the table and with the season halfway gone both need to pick up points quickly to stay in the race for the play-offs. Before the season Pittsburgh was named on one of the top teams looking at their player acquisition but until now the team has only won one game.

Head Coach Sid van Druenen realizes though that playing against this team in last place is not that easy: "Pittsburg is a lot better team then the standings show, but so are we. This is a very important game for both teams since both need to win some games to get out of the bottom of the standings. After our loss against Orlando last week the team is focused and working hard in practice to get the points in Pittsburg and turn around this season while we still can."

After the game the Lions play Pittsburgh again this week when they come to DOC Stadium on Tuesday July 1 at 7.00pm. Tickets for the game can be purchased at www.ddlfc.com.
