Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the West Michigan Whitecaps (affiliate of the Detroit Tigers) in the fifth game of a six-game series.

Season Series: Dayton 12, West Michigan 10 (At LMCU Ballpark: Dragons 6, Whitecaps 4). Current Series: Dayton 2, West Michigan 2.

Last Game: Friday: Dayton 4, West Michigan 2. Brian Rey drilled a tie-breaking two-run double with two outs in the top of the ninth inning for the Dragons. Rey had three hits in the game including two doubles to lead a nine-hit attack. Dayton relievers Jacques Pucheu and Braxton Roxby combined for four and one-third scoreless innings to close out the game. The victory gave the Dragons back-to-back wins for the first time since June 29-30.

What's Next: The Dragons could qualify for the playoffs in one of two ways: 1) By winning the second half East Division title; 2) By finishing with the next best full-season record in the East Division (behind Great Lakes) should Great Lakes win the second half division title. If the same team wins both halves, the team with the next best full-season record qualifies as the second half representative.

Dayton is first in the MWL in home runs with 111, the most they have hit in a season since 2017 when they hit 112. The Dragons are on a pace to hit 156 on the year (130-game season). The club record is 144 in 2001 in a 139-game season.

Brian Rey in three games since joining the Dragons is hitting .357 (5 for 14) with a home run, two doubles, and five RBI.

Tyler Callihan has gone 6 for 16 (.375) in the current series at West Michigan.

Joe Boyle has an opponent's batting average of .089 with an earned run average of 1.94 for the year.

Myles Gayman over his 12 appearances since May 26 has posted a 2.70 ERA (23.1 IP, 15 H, 7 R, 6 BB, 25 SO).

Donovan Benoit over his last three appearances has not allowed a run (5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 10 SO).
