LOUISVILLE - The Houston Dash earned a point on the road after a 1-1 draw against Racing Louisville FC at Lynn Family Stadium earlier this evening.
Forward Nichelle Prince gave Houston the lead in the 77th minute off a set piece. Racing's goalkeeper Katie Lund made a save at the top of crossbar on the initial shot by the Dash. The ball was redirected toward Prince who headed the ball past Lund into the back of the net.
Racing's Jessica McDonald scored the equalizer late in the second half to get Louisville back on even terms.
Midfielder Emily Ogle made her 2022 season debut in the 72nd minute after coming on as a substitute for midfielder Sophie Schmidt. Ogle suffered a season-ending injury last August and played her first minutes in the draw against Louisville. Midfielder Natalie Jacobs also made her Dash debut after coming on as a substitute in stoppage time.
In the closing minutes of the first half, defender Haley Hanson took a shot from the top of the 18-yard box, but her strike sailed just above the cross bar.
Midfielder Shea Groom had chance in the 37th minute right in front of the goal line but her header was caught by the Louisville defender.
The Dash had a chance early in the third minute after Daly sent a ball into the six-yard box for Prince, whose shot was blocked by a Racing defender.
Houston will wrap up its three-game road slate on May 21 as the Dash travel to Portland to take on the Thorns. Kickoff is slated for 5:00 p.m. CT. Fans can watch stream the match on Twitch.
