Florida Seals News Release
There was talk of double 20's and triple 18's and other lingo that was foreign to many of the Orlando Seals early Monday night, but they learned through the evening and while 18 teams competed in the Hockey 4 Kids benefit dart tournament, the real winner was the charity that helps kids attend pro hockey games.
The Seals in conjunction with Kerryman's Pub in Longwood raised $600 for Hockey 4 Kids. Seals right winger Joe Urbanik and his playing partner Kerry Wrisley won the tournament, defeating goaltender David Goverde and his playing partner Robert Afonso, winning two straight games in the final match.
Kerryman's General Manager will present the proceeds of the tournament to Seals owner David Waronker, prior to the Seals game on Saturday January 10th against the Jacksonville Barracudas at TD Waterhouse Centre. Game time on Saturday is 7:35 p.m.
The Seals return home on Thursday January 8th to face the Alabama Slammers at 7:05 p.m.
All Seals games can be heard via the internet at www.IRN.FM. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, and online at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information call the Seals at (407) 447-PUCK (7825).
